Player acquisition strategies in regulated markets
In regulated markets advertising is limited and acquisition cost is high. The advantage goes to operators that measure player value over time and invest where the return is real.

Start with the rules of the market
Before planning channels, check restrictions on advertising, warning requirements, target groups and bonuses. A campaign that breaks the rules risks fines and loss of licence.
Measure player value, not just cost
Acquisition cost without value over time is misleading. Compare channels by net player revenue at 30, 90 and 180 days and by the share of returning players.
A channel that is cheaper to acquire from can be more expensive if it attracts one-off players.
Put the affiliate programme in order
Set the settlement model (fixed fee, revenue share or hybrid), traffic quality criteria and audit rights. Remove affiliates that break advertising rules.
Good programmes reward quality, not only the number of registrations.
Grow your own channels
Expert content, SEO and owned brands reduce dependence on paid channels. They take time, but their unit cost falls with scale.
Communicate responsibly
Clear information on limits, self-control tools and age restrictions is not only a legal requirement but also part of brand trust.
